In our quest to discover new old things in Jordan we embarked on a long 1000km trip to Wadi as-Sahab al-Abyad in the south east of Jordan. We wanted to visit the megalithic burial grounds of Qulban Beni Murra, dating back to around 4000BC.
The site is very remote and requires about 3 hours offroad. GPS is a necessity to get there.
Once you reached the site you cannot but be amazed about the sheer number of graves. There is hardly a hilltop without one! Although there is a lot of damage because of looting, the site makes you wonder how, what, why ......

Certainly worth another visit in the near future.
